Andrew Horowitz, DMD, MD, FACS

Dr. Andrew Horowitz is originally from West Bloomfield, Michigan. He has resided in the New York metropolitan area since 2000.

He earned a Bachelor of Science with honors at the University of Michigan.

He subsequently attended the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where he obtained his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD), graduating in the top 10 of his class. As such, he was then elected into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society and the Mathew Cryer Honor Society, which represents the highest scholastic honor to Penn Dental Medicine students.

His passion for the art and science of dentistry and medicine led him to enter into a combined MD/Oral and Maxillofacial Residency program in New York City and the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and The Mount Sinai Hospital.

Because of his outstanding academic standing in dental school, he was granted advanced standing at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine, where he graduated with a Doctorate of Medicine (MD). During his time at Mount Sinai, he completed a General Surgery internship, a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and served as Chief Resident in his final year.

Dr. Horowitz is one of the select few Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in Westchester County that has earned both a dental degree and a medical degree. Additionally, he is also one of the first Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons in the country to be named a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a member of many local and national dental and oral and maxillofacial surgery organizations.

Dr. Horowitz is currently a partner in private practice at New York Oral, Maxillofacial, and Implant Surgery in Scarsdale and in Mount Kisco for over 15 years where he practices the full scope of the specialty with a major emphasis on complex dental implant cases and major bone grafting. He is an expert in immediate implant placement, the All on 4 technique, and “Teeth in a Day”, where he has performed well over a 1000 cases.

Dr. Horowitz is an avid skier who is always in search of fresh tracks and was a nationally ranked tennis player as a junior. He currently lives with his 2 children in Chappaqua.
